Florida assistant involved at FAU

The folks at Florida Atlantic are a patient bunch.
It's been more than three weeks since Rex Walters left for San Francisco and his replacement still hasn't been selected. Some of the names that have long been popping around are those belonging to former St. John's coach Mike Jarvis and Georgia Southern's Jeff Price. Both are serious candidates. But another guy in the mix, a source has told CBSSports.com, is Florida assistant Lewis Preston.
The source said Preston is expected to interview Wednesday.
FAU will reportedly try to have a coach in place by the end of next week, at the latest.

Florida assistant involved at FAUSenor' Parrissh, I see that you joined on my birthday in Feb. Please be advised that this small antedote does not provide you with the stumping allowed in Hillary's camp. We Gators need every coach and player we can get to avoid the much touted NIT two years in a row. Then again, Lewis Preston was, and is, an outsider. His ability to enumerate and cajole our "big guys" into consistent enthusiastic court players for 40 minutes a game, was, and still is, a joke. On second thought, maybe he could be your Starbucks boy in the long afternoon hours............. |
