Binghamton player puts Binghamton student in coma

We always hear about athletes behaving badly. But one story that has received no national coverage -- at least none that I can find -- is the story of Binghamton basketball player Miladin Kovacevic, who has been charged with second-degree assault after kicking another student so many times inside of a local bar that the student suffered serious head injuries and remains in critical condition.

The student, Bryan Steinhauer, is in a drug-induced coma.

Kovacevic appeared in 18 games during the 2006-07 season and missed all of last season with an injury. He has been banned from campus until the matter is resolved, and what sparked the altercation remains under investigation.

I live in New York and about 2 hours away from Binghamton, as Gary said, not Bing Hampton as some other guy tried to suggest, and there has been no coverage on this story even here. I have a friend that goes to Binghamton and I've actually met this kid Miladin. He is referred to as "Minja" and is a beast. It happend at the Rathskellar nightclub in Binghamton and Minja left the scene after the incident. He was found, removed, and taken to jail from campus the following day.
