Walker remaining in draft

Kansas State star Bill Walker will remain in the NBA Draft despite a weekend knee injury.

A source told CBSSports.com that Walker's injury isn't serious enough to force him back to college like a torn ACL did to Brandon Rush last year, though it remains unclear whether Walker will be a first-round selection. According to a separate source, at least one team picking in the late 20s advised Walker to return to KSU, but the 6-foot-6 forward wasn't deterred in any way and plans to be a professional next season, one way or another.

Kansas State coach Frank Martin, when reached for comment Monday afternoon, told CBSSports.com that he still had not talked to Walker. But Martin added that Walker remaining in the draft "has been his feeling the whole time."

Walker averaged 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season.

He helped the Wildcats reach the second round of the NCAA tournament
